The 2019 Maserati Levante takes Ferrari power into a whole new sector of the market with the launch of the 350 hp Levante which enters the Australian market under the existing Levante S and Turbo Diesel models with a recommended retail price of $125,000 plus statutory charges, dealer costs and delivery.

Making its Australian and New Zealand debut in the 2019 Maserati Levante, the Maserati designed, Ferrari produced 350 hp/257 kW twin turbo V6 is a version of the engine that powers the range-topping Maserati Levante S. With 500 Nm of torque spread across 1,750 - 4,750 rpm, the 350 hp/257 kW Levante offers an outstanding driving experience, accelerating to 100 kmh in six seconds and on to a top speed of 251 kmh.

In the best Maserati tradition, the engine’s exhaust system is controlled by pneumatic valves to maintain the rich aural signature of the brand. In the default driving mode, the bypass valves are closed for a comfortable and discreet engine sound. In Sport mode, the exhaust valves open, providing the shortest possible exit route for the exhaust gases. This provides the Levante its maximum engine performance and the unique Maserati sound track.

Blessed with the same sophisticated Q4 Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive with rear Limited-slip Differential and advanced suspension that includes adjustable Air Springs, Skyhook shock absorbers, the newest version of the Levante is equally capable on and off the road as its siblings. It offers sports car like handling biased towards the rear, until going gets tough, when the four wheel drive system comes into action enabling the Levante to traverse conditions previously unheard of for an Italian sports car.

From its 19 inch polished alloy wheels to its powered rear door, the new Levante is stylishly well equipped and maintains Maserati’s legendary handcrafted interiors and exclusivity. The interior is richly leather lined and hand stitched, from the seats to the steering wheel, while the front seats are heated and boast 12 way electrically operation with memories and the dashboard is finished in piano black trim, which surrounds the latest in telematics systems, the Maserati MTC+ which has SatNav and Digital Radio as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It has cruise control, blind spot alert, rear camera with a dynamic grid guide and parking sensors front and rear. Keyless operation of the doors is standard, along with auto-dipping mirrors and dual zone climate control ventilation.

In addition, the Maserati Levante is available, like other Maseratis, with a choice of GranSport and GranLusso trim and equipment levels. Priced at recommended retail price of $159,990 plus statutory charges, dealer costs and delivery, the arrival of the 350 hp Levante also brings their exquisitely equipped and appointed Levante versions into new market areas.

“The newest addition to Maserati Levante range is endowed with everything expected of a Maserati with a level of accessibility never before achieved in a Maserati,” says Glen Sealey, the Chief Operating Officer of Maserati Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. “It has the Ferrari-powered performance, the on and off-road ability, the exclusive and unique trim and materials that can only come from Maserati and yet it is available at price point that brings Maserati into a whole new area of the market. It is no coincidence that the arrival of this latest Maserati model coincides with the opening of new Maserati dealers in Australia as we fully expect the newest Levante to significantly contribute Australian sales.”

2019 Maserati Levante enhancements

The Maserati Levante range has been further enhanced for 2019 to underline its “Gran Turismo” character.

The MY19 Levante GranSport trim has adopted more athletic and dynamic design. Focused on the lower front fascia and the rear bumper, the elegant restyling provides stronger, aggressive styling in comparison to the baseline and GranLusso trims. In addition, Adaptive Full LED Matrix headlights are available as an option for the first time in the Levante range.

The new MY19 enhancements have also introduced to the Levante range the Maserati Integrated Vehicle Control (IVC), which was previously available only on the Ghibli and Quattroporte saloons. Rather than simply correcting vehicle instability, the IVC system helps prevent it, providing enhanced active safety, improved driving dynamics and an even more exciting performance.

There are two brand new tri-coat colours, the Rosso Potente, which has been created to celebrate the racing heritage of Italian sports cars, and the Blu Nobile with sparkling glass flakes glimmering under the sunlight. Available as a new option, the Pieno Fiore is like no other leather used in the automotive industry for its natural, soft feel and is processed to develop a unique character throughout the years.

Maserati has announced details of the new Quattroporte for the Australia market which is on sale now with deliveries starting at the end of the year.

The MY17 Maserati Quattroporte boasts new styling inside and out, two new versions, the GranLusso and GranSport and a host of new driver assistance systems further enhancing the refinement, style and exclusivity of Maserati’s flagship.

“These changes enhance the unique styling of the Quattroporte broaden its appeal as well as ensuring it has the latest technology,” says Glen Sealey, Chief Operating Officer of Maserati Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. “They will ensure that the Quattroporte maintains its position as the only truly exclusive model in its market sector which provides a fully involved, performance-orientated driving experience that could only come from an Italian car maker who has honed its skills over more than 100 years of producing the finest luxury and performance cars.”

After three and a half years of unprecedented success around the world which has seen 24,000 new owners in 72 countries, the Quattroporte has undergone a substantial restyling that accentuates its elegance without altering its signature Maserati personality.

The exterior of the restyled Quattroporte is recognisable with a new bumper design with matte black profile at the front and the matte black extractor at the rear. The front grille, a typical Maserati feature, evolves into a design inspired by the Maserati Alfieri concept car that has already featured on the Maserati Levante.

It’s more defined shape introduces new vertical chrome elements that contrast with the depth of the shark nose effect. Other distinguishing details of the new Quattroporte are the matte black side skirts and the exterior mirrors, which have been slightly restyled to incorporate new technical features.

An electrically adjustable Air Shutter has also been fitted behind the front grille between the air vents and the engine’s radiator. The Air Shutter provides optimal control of the engine’s temperature and, together with the optimization of the new front and rear bumpers, air conveyor and flat bottom, improves the aerodynamic drag of the car by 10 per cent, contributing also in fuel consumption reduction of about three per cent while driving on the highway.

The improvements to the interior enhance the purity of the model by underlining only the functional parts with the integration of the new design with the infotainment area and tunnel console. The redesigned central dashboard now accommodates a capacitive high resolution 8.4” screen with multi touch function.

The sweeping centre console now integrates the screen, new climate control and new drawer in a single seamless design, emphasizing the purity of design that epitomizes the Quattroporte. The central lower console has also been redesigned and now features a rotary knob for volume and function control, a new lid and phone storage compartment. The stylistic approach to these functional elements permits a minimalist design approach.

The new infotainment system is compatible with both the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring functions. All Quattroportes are now equipped with an Air Quality Sensor, a feature that substantially improves comfort levels for the occupants on-board. This system combines an intelligent sensor and a signal analysis system that calculates the external pollution levels and prevents polluted air and toxic gases from entering the cabin.

A new package of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems is standard in the new Quattroporte. It includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop&Go, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning with Advanced Brake Assist and Automated Emergency Braking. A new Surround View Camera compliments the reversing camera which has been improved with dynamic guidance lines on the screen.

GranLusso and GranSport, two distinct new worlds

Maserati has long represented the perfect blend of luxury and sportiness thanks to its race-bred engineering and expert use of design and materials to produce exclusive luxury. With the restyling of the flagship Quattroporte, Maserati has launched a new range strategy to offer its clientele the additional choice of two unique trim options that emphasize the two key pillars of the brand’s DNA: GranLusso and GranSport

The GranLusso and GranSport are offered in Australia with a choice of the drivetrains, starting with new enhanced 350 bhp Twin Turbo V6 as well as the 410 bhp Twin Turbo V6 and the range topping GTS, with its 530 bhp Twin Turbo V8 engine. Each trim level was conceived to meet the needs of customers that seek a distinctive and unique product in the executive saloon segment.

GranLusso and GranSport are immediately recognisable thanks to their distinct exterior design and unique interiors.

GranLusso trim

The GranLusso trim reinterprets the concept of luxury in a race-bred engineered luxury saloon by enhancing the exterior finish and improving in-cabin comfort for both driver and passengers. It offers a higher level of luxury using exclusive materials and special features in the finest tradition of Italian craftsmanship.

GranLusso is distinctive for a new front lower fascia design with an elegant floating bridge element and a delicate spoiler, detailed by the chrome bumper finish and the body colour bumper profiles. The profile incorporates side skirts, while on the rear the look is even cleaner, characterized by a sculptured retroreflector and a body coloured spoiler; the exterior look is completed by 20” Mercurio rims and black painted brake calipers.

In the cabin the soul of the GranLusso is epitomised by the Ermenegildo Zegna Edition interior that features a patented silk fabric, unique in the industry, on the seats, doors, headliner and sun visors; the seat tailoring details and the label behind the sun visors make this version unique and exclusive.

The cabin ambience is further refined thanks to the exclusive open pore Radica wood on the dashboard and the leather steering wheel with wooden inserts. The trim integrates comfort-oriented equipment like the electric rear sunblind, the four-zone air conditioning, the heated rear seat and, in the V8, the extended keyless entry and Bowers and Wilkins Sound System.

GranSport trim

The GranSport trim underscores the sporty character of the Quattroporte while enhancing the aggressive appearance of the car. Thanks to new exterior design cues and interior contents that reflect the legendary racing heritage of the Maserati brand.

On the front of the Quattroporte GranSport, the dedicated restyling for the centre and side air intakes improves the cooling function while showcasing an aggressive front area. The lower fascia is linked to the grille with aerodynamic inspired splits. The back is characterized by a design composition that focuses the attention on the exhausts. An aggressive black piano spoiler completes the rear view.

The Quattroporte GranSport is fitted with 21” Titano rims and features a glossy black finish on the bumpers, red brake calipers and blue inserts in the front Trident and side Saetta logo as well as blue Tridents on the wheel centres. As an option, the front grille of the GranSport can be ordered in a glossy black finish.

The interiors of the Quattroporte GranSport includes redesigned front and rear Sports seats, with their sculptured profiles, to improve sporty driving performance as well as comfort with 12 way electric adjustment. A new sport steering wheel, in carbon fibre or full leather, creates a strong identity.

Thanks to the high gloss Piano Black wood trim on the dashboard, the brand new sport seats, the sport steering wheel fitted with aluminium gearbox paddles and the stainless steel sport pedals, the interior of the Quattroporte GranSport guarantees a truly sporting experience.

Prices for the new Maserati Quattroporte start at $210,00 excluding statutory charges, dealer costs and delivery for the Quattroporte Turbo Diesel and range up to $349,990 excluding statutory charges, dealer costs and delivery for the range topping Maserati Quattroporte GTS GranLusso.
